We recognize and respect parents as the fundamental nurturers and teachers of their children and as a ministry we are here to offer our support and resources. We encourage our parents and their children to participate in the many opportunities for worship, education, and service offered through various CGS ministries.

Nursery (age 9 mos. thru 4 years)The major emphasis of our ministry is to provide a safe, comfortable, Christian environment for the youngest members of our community and to help them experience Christ at their level of understanding. We offer varied activities (play, prayer, crafts, stories, poems and songs) that are geared to the learning styles and abilities of the very young child.
In the spirit of love and fairness for our parish family, we strongly recommend and urge the parents of nursery-age children to use the nursery facilities provided.
Weekends during: Saturday Liturgy 5:30 p.m.
Sunday Liturgies 9:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.
Suggested Offering: $2.00 per child per class, payable at the door.
(All donations offset operating expenses)

Childcare may be available during the week, as needed, to compliment adult and family formation sessions.

The preschool curriculum is designed to introduce the concept of the creator God into the usual life experiences of young children. The purpose of the curriculum is to help the children develop a positive experience of church and help them understand their role as part of the church community. It is a balanced program that introduces Jesus as a friend and a role model and God as creator. Through prayer, stories, songs, crafts, games and other activities the children develop a positive experience of church in an atmosphere of warmth and understanding where Christian ideals are nourished. Take home materials are provided to enable the parent(s) to reinforce the Christian message of the lessons.

Our primary responsibility is to provide a quality educational experience for young children in a Christian environment. We offer a curriculum that provides for the child to know and appreciate God's world and gifts through prayers, stories, celebrations, and service projects. This program offers your child an opportunity to develop a love for literature. Children will be exposed to classic tales, poetry, and award winning children's literature complemented by activities designed to enrich their experience!
