Deacongbowercgscc.churchBorn and raised (primarily) in the Kansas City metro area, Deacon Greg and his family moved to Spring in 2009 when he started a new job in Houston. As a cradle Catholic, Deacon Greg knew the importance of the Eucharist and the Mass but his faith never went any deeper until 2011. That year, after losing his job, he drove to CGS, parked, and prayed for help/direction. He clearly heard the voice of the Lord: “You know what you have to do.” Greg argued in vain with the Lord but eventually did what he did not want to do, instead, doing what he and the Lord knew he should do. He has been doing that ever since, eventually being ordained to the permanent diaconate in 2025.
