Dr. Larry is the Director of Education and Assessments for both Rejoice Counseling Apostolate and the Laetare Group, which form the Rejoice Community. At Rejoice, he also serves as a Team Leader and Lead Parish Counselor. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and an Accredited Financial Counselor Candidate. Dr. Larry completed a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Sam Houston State University.
Larry counsels from a refined approach that integrates counseling and Catholic fundamentals. He has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, by which he uses research-based strategies to help couples successfully manage conflict, empowers couples to dialogue about their worst gridlocked issues in a positive way, and helps them to heal their hurts while deepening their intimacy.
In addition to counseling, Larry is the Director of Education and Assessments for Rejoice. He gives talks throughout the archdiocese and professional conferences on a wide variety of topics related to marriage, family life, mental health, financial planning, counseling theories, and more; and he supervises masters-level counseling students.
